Last night, as we were returning from our family get together, I decided to stop at Walmart for Excedrin. I figured, that with all the deals going on, I could run in and grab some headache medicine, hit the self checkout, and be gone. Not so much. Police were stationed at every entrance, but I figured they were simply directing traffic, so I took the side road in, skirting the queue of cars awaiting entrance. Inside the lot, I found the ends of each row blocked by a police cruiser as well. This was around 8pm, shortly after Walmart had opened for their Black Thursday/Friday event, and there were people milling around everywhere. So I rolled down my window and asked what was going on.

"Bomb threat!" someone called from inside the crowd.

Needless to say, I left. Moral of this story is, nothing can stop Black Friday shoppers, not even the possibility that they might all explode or be showered by flaming debris at any moment.
